With as many Ron Paul videos as I’ve posted over the years it’s not impossible this has been posted before. Nevertheless it’s worth being posted twice.
Now all you need to do is click the “Rand Paul” tag at the bottom of this post and look back to when I first called this man out several years ago, to realize that I was 100% spot on. NOBODY else was writing about this. Sure there may have been people who poo poo’d Rand off hand but I was the one who dredged up his old campaign videos and uploaded them to youtube and showed his hypocrisy. Since that time he has shown time and time again where he stands, and as I’ve written before he has crossed lines you do not come back from.
The latest shenanigans is as the headline says, apparently he met with the chief orchestrators of “conservative” news, who in reality are the biggest promoters of death and misinformation around. Here’s the brief story

I don’t really hear anyone talk about Iraq much anymore. I guess the mission has been accomplished, or it just became too inconvenient to talk about since the same news organizations who would tell you about it now were beating the war drums in the first place and maybe they think you will forget about it if they quit talking about it.
On a whim I decided to look into the number of deaths in Iraq in 2013 alone and it’s been a bloody year. In August alone nearly 400 civilians have been killed.

I don’t know how many people were killed during a two week span under Saddam but I’d be very surprised if it ever reached the levels we’ve seen in the last 10 years. The same website estimates roughly 120,000 civilians have been killed since the US invasion in 2003. That’s about the entire population of Fort Collins Colorado, it’s hard to fathom.
Is this what you thought would happen when we invaded? Is this what we were promised? We were lead to believe we were freeing these people from oppression not signing their death warrants. The people who lied us into war are murderers. War criminals. Profiteers and traitors. They should all be held accountable.
Ted has many people fooled for the time being, and while I’m no expert on him, his wife is relatively high up in Goldman Sachs which makes him suspect. “By their fruits you shall know them” and now we begin to see Ted Cruz’s fruits this time in the form of thinly veiled gun control. If you believe in the Constitution you do not have the need for more money for NICS, or any of the other nonsense in this bill.
Call Ted and tell him what you think.

WASHINGTON, DC – Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) are introducing an alternative amendment to gun legislation pending on the Senate floor. Their “Protecting Communities and Preserving the Second Amendment Act” would preserve the Second Amendment while providing important fixes to existing law.
The Grassley-Cruz proposal would reauthorize and improve the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), increase resources for prosecutions of gun crime, address mental illness in the criminal justice system, and strengthen criminal law by including straw purchasing and illegal firearm trafficking statutes.
“When people study our amendment, they’ll see a sensible alternative that was developed from the ground up. It’s got wide-ranging, broad-based support and takes a responsible approach to fixing problems with the current background check system,” Grassley said. “We’ve put together an amendment that can effectively address some of the problems we’ve seen while protecting Second Amendment rights. I’ve been very interested in the mental health aspect of this debate, so we include provisions to study and address that issue. My oversight of Operation Fast and Furious highlighted some serious flaws within the gun trafficking and straw purchasing area, and Senator Cruz has done an exceptionally good job of helping develop that portion of our alternative. In addition, we both understand the importance of ensuring that Second Amendment protections are in place for veterans, along with every other American.”
“I am glad to work with Sen. Grassley on this important amendment, which presents a reasonable alternative to the current legislation being considered while placing top priority on preserving Americans’ inalienable right to bear arms,” Sen. Cruz said. “Rather than restricting the rights of law-abiding Americans, we should be focusing on keeping guns out of the hands of violent criminals, which this legislation accomplishes. While the Obama Administration continues to politicize a terrible tragedy to push its anti-gun agenda, I am proud to stand beside my fellow senators to present common-sense measures that will increase criminal prosecutions of felons who try to buy guns, criminalize straw purchasing and gun trafficking, and address mental health issues.”
Sponsors of the Protecting Communities and Preserving the Second Amendment Act of 2013 include Senators Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, John Thune of South Dakota, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, John Hoeven of North Dakota, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Jeff Flake of Arizona, Dan Coats of Indiana, John Cornyn of Texas, Pat Roberts of Kansas, Roger Wicker of Mississippi, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, James Risch of Idaho, Marco Rubio of Florida, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, John Boozman of Arkansas, Mike Johanns of Nebraska, Rob Portman of Ohio, and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.
This legislation will:
Improve and reauthorize grants for NICS database;
Require federal courts to submit relevant information to NICS;
Ensure that relevant mental health records are submitted by states to NICS;
Condition federal grant money for states on their submission of mental health records to NICS;
Increase federal prosecution of gun violence by establishing the Nationwide Project Exile Program and establishing a high level federal taskforce;
Study of the causes of mass shootings;
Responsibly addresses gun violence by criminalizing straw purchasing of firearms and gun trafficking;
Second Amendment Protections for Veterans;
Require the Department of Justice to explain to Congress why it has or has not been prosecuting gun cases;
Place Limitations on Fast & Furious type operations by DOJ;
Authorize FFL’s to utilize the NICS database to for voluntary background checks of employees;
Authorize FFL’s to access the FBI’s National Crime Information Center stolen gun database to ensure that a firearm is not stolen prior to acquisition;
Reauthorize the Mentally Ill Offender Treatment and Crime Reduction Act (MIOTCRA) with amendments;
Address school safety by Reauthorizes the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Secure our Schools Program through 2023.

I posted nothing about Rand Pauls great political theater about drones, because I saw it as just that, no need to perpetuate it. However it is interesting that the biggest zionists in Washington McCain, Graham and now Krauthammer (among others) all came out on the side opposite of Paul. Clearly DC provides nothing but an illusion of real debate and Rand Paul doesn’t give a rats ass about drones flying domestically or elsewhere it is notable to see conservatives become uncomfortable when their favorite fox news gimp jumps on the wrong side.
Luckily for these neo cons, the citizens of America have a tremendously short memory and will once again be willing to vote for and support them when need be. After all they may not be great but they’re the lesser of two evils.
What can be better for The Republican Party (in general) and Neocons (specifically) than to get those Ron Paul supporters….without Ron Paul?
Now that would be something.
Neocons hate being out of power. Their writings are filled with gibberish on how Obama is gutting the military, how he’s weak in The Middle East, not nice enough to Israel, and just not doing this Empire thing right.
Neocons can’t fathom not being in control come 2016.
Hillary is coming (a 3rd Super PAC has just been formed) and you’re gonna need every edge you can get to beat her. She’s going to have the massive media apparatus at her back. If you think Hope & Change was intoxicating, wait till the Hillary propaganda kicks in.
The elephant in the room for the Republicans/Neocons is the large number of Ron Paul supporters. If I were a neocon, my first thought would be: “How can we get these votes, with as little damage to our agenda as possible?”
The doors swung open immediately after Obama was re-elected.
Despite the relentless blackouts and censorship of Ron Paul just weeks before, the RNC Chairman was now standing with open arms:
“We would be fools not to welcome in the liberty movement in this party.”
Of course it’s ok to welcome Ron Paul supporters now…Ron Paul is no longer a political threat. Having him in power would’ve been a huge problem. But his supporters are not him. They are just numbers…and numbers you’ll need to win the election game in 2016.
After control is achieved, you can throw those gullible Ron Paul supporters overboard and get back to running the world the right way.
Who could possibly be better than Rand Paul to deliver the votes needed for the Neocons. What a fortunate situation. Rand, over time, has consistently proved to the Neocons that he’s not his Dad and can be trusted. When it comes to foreign policy, he’s as flexible as silly putty.
That’s like music to Neocon ears.
Then comes the “spontaneous” filibuster.
National Stage…everyone watching for hours on end.
In action (i.e., the only thing that counts) the filibuster accomplished absolutely nothing. But the Neocons we’re all cheers (Rubin, Krauthammer, Limbaugh, Beck). Buzzfeed even put together a list of just about every other bad guy that got on board.
Sadly, a large number of Ron Paul supporters took the bait…It proved too hard to resist. You’d have to be for Obama droning you to resist, right?
Yet nothing was done. Brennan was sworn in swiftly the very next day, and The White House gave itself enough leeway to drive a Homeland Security tank through with its “letter”.
In other words, the ship is still on course. It just now has a bunch of Ron Paul passengers on board! Talk about a unified Republican Party is everywhere.
But I’m going to repeat Jennifer Rubin:
He wasn’t attacking the war on terror. He wasn’t attacking drone use overseas. He surely wasn’t attacking indefinite detention at Guantanamo for enemy combatants.
Max Boot echoed:
“…he was clever enough not to make his filibuster about drone strikes per se.”
Yes Max…very clever of Rand (who had the stage, and all eyes and ears on him) to not denounce this:
Droves of Ron Paul supporters hopped onto the the wrong ship. They felt comfortable because a man with the last name “Paul” was greeting them as they climbed aboard.
The filibuster was a BIG score and the answer to my Neocon question was answered: “How can we get these votes, with as little damage to our agenda as possible?”
In this battle, the Neocons won.
Fox News had its worst primetime ratings among a key group of viewers since 2001 in January, according to the latest figures.
The network had a 12-year low in the coveted 25-54 demographic in primetime and fell to its lowest total day ratings since 2008, a press release from rival cable channel MSNBC stated on Tuesday.
